Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the GoSeen application (the "App") and visiting our website at goseen.org (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App or Website.

These Terms apply to all users, including those who contribute content, information, or services to GoSeen ("Contributors"). Your use of GoSeen constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. License to Use

GoSeen grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not permit you to:

• Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Create derivative works or adaptations of the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes or to build competing services
• Rent, lease, sell, or transfer your license to others
• Use the App in violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Bypass security features or authentication mechanisms
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the App or Website

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use GoSeen, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a username. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Keeping your email address current and accurate
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• All activity that occurs under your account

3.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update it as needed. You must not impersonate another person or entity or create accounts in the names of others without their consent.

3.3 Account Security

You are solely responsible for the security of your account and password. GoSeen is not responsible for unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to protect your credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@goseen.org.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

4.1 Illegal Activity

• Use the App for illegal purposes or in violation of any laws
• Transmit content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful
• Share or receive non-consensual intimate images or other harmful content
• Engage in fraud, blackmail, extortion, or any form of exploitation
• Use the App to solicit or facilitate illegal transactions

4.2 Abuse & Harassment

• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate other users
• Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or bigotry
• Send unwanted sexual content or solicitations
• Repeatedly message users who have declined contact

4.3 Intellectual Property Violations

• Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other IP rights
• Use GoSeen's logos, branding, or trademarks without permission
• Share pirated content or circumvent DRM protections

4.4 Technical Misuse

• Transmit viruses, malware, or any code intended to harm the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to GoSeen's systems
• Create automated bots or scripts to misuse the App
• Interfere with the App's functionality or performance
• Bypass security features or access controls

4.5 Spam & Manipulation

• Send bulk unsolicited messages, chain messages, or spam
• Use multiple accounts to artificially inflate metrics or circumvent restrictions
• Engage in phishing, social engineering, or misleading schemes
• Post repetitive, irrelevant, or low-quality content

5. Content Removal & Account Suspension

5.1 Our Right to Moderate

GoSeen reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Privacy Policy without notice, including:

• Illegal content or content that promotes harm
• Harassment, hate speech, or abusive material
• Non-consensual intimate images or exploitation content
• Spam, scams, or manipulative content
• Content that infringes third-party rights

5.2 Suspension & Termination

GoSeen may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms or our policies repeatedly
• Engage in illegal activity or pose a safety risk
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Compromise the integrity or security of the App

Suspension may be temporary (with the possibility of reinstatement) or permanent, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your access to the App will be revoked immediately.

5.3 Appeal Process

If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal the decision within 30 days by contacting support@goseen.org with details about your case. We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 GoSeen's IP

The App, Website, and all content provided by GoSeen (including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and source code) are the intellectual property of GoSeen or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, or distribute this content without express written permission.

6.2 Third-Party IP

GoSeen respects the intellectual property rights of third parties. If you believe that content posted on GoSeen infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us at legal@goseen.org with:

• A description of the copyrighted work
• The specific location of the infringing content
• Your contact information and sworn statement
• A statement that you are the copyright holder or authorized representative

7. User-Generated Content

7.1 License to GoSeen

By uploading, posting, or transmitting content to GoSeen (including messages, media, posts, and stories), you grant GoSeen and its users a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content solely for operating, improving, and promoting the App. This license continues even if you delete your account, unless you have expressly removed the content.

7.2 Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for any content you post and agree that you:

• Have the right to share all content you post (including photographs, videos, and media)
• Will not post content that violates these Terms or any applicable laws
• Understand that content shared in group chats or channels may be visible to other members
• Will not hold GoSeen liable for how others use or misuse your content

7.3 End-to-End Encryption

GoSeen uses end-to-end encryption for direct messages and media to protect your privacy. However, you retain full responsibility for securing your device and account. GoSeen cannot access the content of your encrypted messages.

8. Third-Party Services

GoSeen integrates with third-party services including:

• Firebase — data storage, authentication, and analytics
• Agora — voice and video calling infrastructure
• Resend — email delivery for OTP authentication
• Google Cloud — backend infrastructure

Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. GoSeen is not responsible for the availability, security, or conduct of third-party services. Any disputes with these providers should be directed to them directly.

9. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOSEEN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. GOSEEN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOSEEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
• Loss of revenue, data, profits, or business opportunities
• Any interruption, suspension, or unavailability of the App
• Errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities in the App
• Loss or corruption of your data or content
• Actions or content of other users
• Third-party services or their failures

YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO DISCONTINUE USE OF THE APP.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoSeen, its founders, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your misuse of the App
• Your content or communications with others
• Your infringement of any intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any illegal activity conducted through your account

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App. Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy. Account deletion is final and cannot be undone.

11.2 By GoSeen

GoSeen may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your access will be revoked immediately.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms immediately cease. You remain liable for any violations of these Terms that occurred before termination. Sections on Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

GoSeen may update these Terms at any time. The effective date will be updated at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should delete your account and stop using the App. Significant changes will be communicated in-app or via email.
